Sometimes, we’ll maybe all the time, it’s worth it to find the place with the best view and just stay there. While looking for a place to stay in Como I stumbled upon a photo like this and laughed out loud. It didn’t look real and it was likely too expensive. But you know what? It ended up being the place we booked because we wanted this trip to be all about relaxation and as with so many other trips we’ve been on, the view is everything (especially if you’re travelling with kids that still nap). Because the world is still recovering from Covid, places like these are not busy. Places like these upgrade you because they don’t have many guests. (We got a room with a balcony on arrival). And places like these are not as expensive as they usually are 🙌🏻🥂

It’s my first flight since we moved. My first vacation since before Covid. Clearing out my bags I found my boarding pass and receipts from The Bahamas, the last time I took a solo vacation before everything turned upside down. I’m nervous. Even though I’m vaccinated but seeing so many people going on vacation as well calms my nerves. It was hard to leave my kids. I haven’t been away from them much in 2 years but the time apart will be good for us. Deep breath… I got this. Off to meet my love in Milan then head to Como for the weekend. We haven’t had a trip together without kids in 5 years. Can’t wait to show you our view 🗻

When my daughter wished for an ice cream birthday party, the window was a natural choice for an ice cream shop. Her grandma opened shop, took over serving and helped make her 7th birthday party one to remember 🍦

I’m late for national daughter and son day but nevertheless, these two have my heart even though they fight and drive me crazy. But… we’re working on it 😂🙈🙌🏻 They can be super sweet to each other when they want to be and also super sweet to their Mama. Teddy always calls me a Queen and tells me I’m beautiful in the times it’s needed most 😭 and Kate’s open and strong display of love for me when I arrive to pick her up from school every single day makes me so lucky to be her Mama. They’re smart and resilient and loving and happy and I can’t ask for anything more. Thank you for making me a Mama sweet babies
